Adirondack chairs are a style of beach chair that have been best sellers for years and as their popularity has grown so have the choices in colors. These chairs will make a great addition to any beach home. Thomas Lee designed the first chair out of a simple need of comfort. He liked to spend time outside with his large family and could never seem to get comfortable in any of the chairs on hand so he made his own. The Adirondack style beach chair was first created in 1903 and soon became a favorite amongst tourists in the town where the chair was created. Thomas Lee’s simple desire of comfort was also seen by a local carpenter named Harry Bunnell as a potential to make money. Harry patented the design without the knowledge of Thomas Lee and well the rest is history as they say.
